Though, at the end of the year of 2010, the NPC’s output amounted to 40 million tons. The NPC achieved 44 percentage shares of the country’s non oil export products and also 55% of industrial export products as those illustrate the pivotal rule of petrochemical industry in the economy of the country.

The cores of NPC strategic plan (by observing the NPC’s government-oriented role);

-         Development toward reaching the goals defined in the 20-year development plan of the country

-         Boosting the percentage shares of the country’s non oil export products

-         Constant development of petrochemical industry by protection and completion of chain high value products with concentration on developing small and medium petrochemical industries.

-         Utilizing optimization of local facilities

-         Utilizing the relative rivalry advantages of low- developed regions, economic and free trade zones (Chahbahar, Kish, Gheshm, Lavan…)

-          Provision necessary conditions for attracting foreign investment
